My Mazda protégés 93 standard sometimes sticks at 2000 rpms and stalls itself out. Without me pressing the pedal.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Brand new throttle cable and belts all
new. 1.8 liter engine. The other day I
turned on the heater and it been
running like nothing is wrong.

Was this happening before the new throttle cable was install? If not then I would make sure the throttle cable is not getting stuck any where or being held back by something else. Also does this happen when it's in gear only or does it do it in park or neutral as well? Good luck
