2019 Cherokee "losing" oil

Asked by Tgreen4922 Sep 09, 2019 at 02:28 PM about the 2019 Jeep Cherokee Latitude 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2019 Cherokee Latitude that loses oil.  I
dont know where it is going... i dont have leaking
and have had a conumption test that showed
nothing.  Had my oil changed 1600 miles ago and i
am a quart low.  Dealer says its an "acceptable"
amount.  I have NEVER had  new vehicle use oil.
Suggestion?

I would press the dealer to do an oil consumption test. Ask the dealer to define what is "normal". How many miles does it take to lose one quart of oil?

Per the dealer a quart every 1000 or 2000 i forget which is acceptable. I am taking it to a different dealer to review. I had a 2015 exact same engine with no issues. I cant accept this is "normal" without a 2nd opinion.
