Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Will a 2008 crown vic transmission fit in a 2006 crown vic with out problems or
the need of other supporting swaps? You know just bolt it in and go.

It will bolt in, might have some VERY minor alterations to make to your exist wire harness, the bulkhead connector changed in 2007, the TCC solenoid had a different impedence rating, the connector to that might also be different. I think you're pretty safe between those years (2006. 2007, & 2008). 2009 had a big change so anything after 08 can't be used. If you want a better answer try Crownvic.net, it's THE site for CVPIs. Keep in mind police package transmissions are not compatible with civilian ones.
