2004 Mini Cooper won't start

Asked by GuruF9K97 Apr 13, 2020 at 10:09 AM about the 2004 MINI Cooper Base

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

my wife's 2004 mini won't start, the battery is good but when the key is turned, nothing, not even a solenoid click. Had it towed to a local shop that works on European cars but the computer security system won't let them access the to the computer. I checked all the fuses before sending it to them. Any idea about what is wrong or how to access the computer?

The shop needs to get the correct software to be able to communicate with the computer system on the vehicle. Sounds like the security system has shut down the vehicle. Personally, I'd take it back to the dealer for repairs. They'll have the correct tools. Hope that helps! Jim
