the driver side seat does not respond to forward or rear adjustment. Neither up, down..no response

I take it the seat adjustment is electric. It's a DC motor. While moving the knob for adjustment, test for voltage at the motor. A lot easier if you remove the four bolts securing the seat to the floor and tilting the seat backward. If no voltage, check for voltage at switch. If voltage present at motor, suspect bad seat motor.

Check fuses if that's not the issue your motor for it is burnt out
