Asked by GuruN46J7 Oct 07, 2019 at 08:24 AM about the 2019 Subaru Outback 2.5i Premier AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Daughter left keys in ignition, parked in a locked garage. Battery very low 8
hours later.  Does leaving keys in the ignition cause a parasitic drain?

Todays cars are so dependent on electronics and wireless, and bluetooth. I would ted to say yes. Have the battery charged back up to full charge and see what happens. She shouldn't have another issue if she takes the key with her.
