I can’t believe so many people are upset about the
backup noise. I think if they reduced the volume it
would be better, but I love the RAV4 and I won’t let
one small think ruin it for me. I’m waiting for
8,000km to see if it goes away - if not whatever.
I don’t hear the road noise in my Limited model,
not sure if it’s louder in other versions.

Was not back up noise , our problem was a loud rattle driving forward -Became louder like there was a lawnmower in the backseat on the second Drive of a new vehicle

I just picked mine up yesterday, a RAV4 XLE, drove it briefly and backed up outside didn't notice it at all. Then today while in the garage the noise was audible but hardly annoying. So here I am looking up RAV noises. It's good to know the tranny isn't falling apart day 2. LOL
