At what mileage should the plugs be replaced on a 2005 Titan?

I'd toss out a number like 20,000 miles just from experience...at least the first twenty, then examine to see how much of the electrode is worn away, and how much calcium deposits exist. Cannot recomend platinum plugs because there is no place for the deposits to go-

On most newer cars it's right around 100k miles. To get the optimum performance from your truck, you need to go back with the OE plug. Japanese cars and trucks usually come with NGK or Denso plugs from the factory. Don't listen to ol boy that posted above about the platinum plugs. If the truck came with platinum plugs as OE, then that's what you need to replace the old plugs with. On the other hand, if the truck came with copper core plugs as OE, then go with the copper core.

Won't argue on the platinum, it's just knowing that platinums are in there most owners get lazy...that's all, and the cost, personally knowing where Nissan cuts it's corners do not think they'd have used expensive plugs..perhaps on their luxury liners-
all nissans from about 2000 have platinum plugs and are recommended to be changed at 120 000 km (not sure how many miles that is) it'll still run ok probably past that but mileage will suffer. and bob 20 000 is way too low and a waste of time and money if you don't know what your talking about don't answer and waste peoples time

@Robert, I take great offense about 'wasting people's time'. Dammit, I was a mechanic for three years. How long have you been a mechanic, wise guy? These plugs are an ivitataion to be lazy. Back in my day, the condition of the plugs were the key to understanding how the motor was running...now with the newer expensive plugs, there isn't an electrode to show anything, but deposits that can make your plugs difficult to remove- There is nothing wrong with pullin your plugs at 20k to check their condition...used to be....guess it's a beautiful NO-maintenance world we live in now.
I've been a tech for 10 years 5 at Nissan. unless your vehicle burns oil there is no reason to even look at plugs until 120 000 km.

Robert I hear rattling noise when I give it gas. What could it be. 08 crew cab Titan
I'm at 245K miles..maybe I changed them once..or they may be originals...I've got at lease 150K miles on these plugs and the truck runs fine. I'm afraid not to just leave well enough alone at this point as long as it is running well
My truck to runs fine never had a problem. I'm at 234k

i have a 2011 flex fuel titan 4x4 181,000 miles still has factory spark plugs in it , runs great . but i am going to replace them , just because I know it is past time ....so anything under 150 k i would leave them alone unless your titan starts running bad
