loss of power

Asked by GuruBJWS9 Jan 27, 2019 at 11:28 AM about the 2003 Nissan Sentra XE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just our new battery and alternator in my 2003
Nissan sentra. The battery light on the dash is still
coming on. My car will drive for about 4km and it
just dies. And won't start again. What can be the
problem. Thank you.

If it's dying from lack of voltage, and it probably is, go to an auto parts store and have the battery and alternator tested even if they are new. Also have them scan for codes. It's unusual the battery light is still on so something electrical must be wrong.
