1997 Ford Ranger V8 Swap

Asked by DangerRanger18 May 08, 2019 at 05:02 PM about the 1997 Ford Ranger XLT Standard Cab Stepside 4WD SB

Question type: Car Customization

I want to swap in a 2006 Ford Expedition with the 5.0 V8
and is making around 300HP. Is there a adapter to put on
so I can still have a manual transmission in my truck, and
also, will my drivetrain be able handle that much
horsepower. Like can I still use my stock transmission in
my truck with a adapter put on to fit the engine. Will my
transfer case, transmission, and my differential in both the
front and rear handle the power without me immediately
having to beef up the whole drivetrain. Sorry for repeating
things more than once and not being clear. I tried my best
to be clear in what I'm trying to figure out
