Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2006 honda civic hybrid (automatic) my check engine light came on so I
bought a ima battery that had 80k miles on it and after a week the check engine light
came on again and idk what to do but I know it's not just a simple oil change.

It's probably that IMA. They don't last long at all. My boyfriends went out in his 2008 civic at like 90k miles.

Honestly the cost of replacing those IMA's could really pay for the gas you save.

OK, I bought mine new in April 2007 in LA, then drove it back to NY the next day ... Put 45K avg on it a year as NYSDOH inspector. At 158k miles, stuck on LIE for four hours, stop, pull forward 3 feet, stop ... the IMA light came on, took the car out of economy mode, engine stayed on, batteries charged all ok, but, light would not go out ... dealer claimed I needed new $3800 battery I argued, let them put it in, then showed the warranty 10 yr unlimited mileage I had ask him to look up. Actually cursed at me. No more issues till 296K miles, now the pre clutch is slipping because another dealer put wrong transmission fluid in it, three times ... even when I took it back for them to flush it ...wrong fluid ... now, it sits in my driveway ... not sure what to do with it, still runs great. That is literally the first Honda I didn't get over 300k miles on .... one had 425K
