Question type: Maintenance & Repair

i have a 2007 honda civic hybrid.
the oil life currently reads 15% and the wrench icon is lit up
on the dash.
can i put in more oil into the engine for the short term until i
get an oil change?

Top it off until you can change the oil. It is best to never allow it to get more than a half quart down.

The dip stick tells you the oil level. There will be marks for full and one quart down. Add what is needed to take it up to full. The 15% is the oil life, not the oil level.
