Check for air blockages and check/replace air filter. Sounds like engine is choking with not enough air.
check your coolant level. mine does that when my coolant is low.
I changed dist cap and rotor button. put a bottle of heet in the fuel tank. didn't help the problem.

owner replaced battery but hooked it up back wards ,lights worked but when I seen it I reinstalled battery the right way , headlights will work but there no power to inside the truck ,for ignition etc...
