1995 240 cutting out

Asked by KyGuy May 18, 2012 at 04:11 PM about the 1995 Nissan 240SX 2 Dr SE Coupe

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Car has check engine light on, and when it gets warm the engine begins to sputter running down the interstate, sometimes dying, always restarting. Can't find anyone to read the code (O'Riellys, Autozone, local repair shop) they say looks like a special connector is needed, do i have to go to Nissian dealer?, Have changed the fuel pump and filter

1995 is pre obd2 so you will have a consult port and a obd2 port. you can always check the ecu light. get a fsm from one of the Nissan sites like Nico. and it will show you, or google search it. did you check your fuel injectors?
