nissan 300zx putting out a alot of smoke from exsaughts doesn anybody know whats wrong with iy

theres a few different factors that could play a role in the smoke.. what color smoke does it put out?

does it do it all the time or just when its cold? also how many miles are on it?

it can either be yur piston rings or the valve seals.

Could be that the turbos are bad as well. Best to take to a certified mechanic to have them check it out as there are alot of things that could be wrong.

like a blueish color and its alot of smoke when i hit the gas alot of smoke come out

Blue smoke is caused by engine oil entering the cylinder area and being burned along with the fuel air mixture. As with the white smoke, just a small drop of oil leaking into the cylinder can produce blue smoke out the tailpipe. Blue smoke is more likely in older or higher mileage vehicles than newer cars with fewer miles. How did the engine oil get inside the cylinder in the first place? The car has many seals, gaskets, and O-rings that are designed to keep the engine oil from entering the cylinder, and one of them has failed. If too much oil leaks into the cylinder and fouls the spark plug, it will cause a misfire (engine miss) in that cylinder, and the spark plug will have to be replaced or cleaned of the oil. Using thicker weight engine oil or an oil additive designed to reduce oil leaks might help reduce the amount of oil leaking into the cylinder.

if it does it all the time its probably your piston rings. big expensive job to fix. probably cheaper to just sell the car. if you want to just deal with it just stay on top of your oil level. if it only does it when the engine is cold its probably your valve seals. involved job, still pretty big, not quite as expensive, but you still might be better off selling the car. either way until you get it fixed or sell it stay on top of your oil level.

if you actually read the question youd know that the cars not a twin turbo

since its a lot of smoke i would stop driving it and go ask a mechanic what is wrong. chances are you just have a head gasket or some kind of gasket that has deteriorated over the years. it going to be costly if you bring it to the mech so crack into that raining day fund and play the shop or find a new car to drive. but if your mechanicly inclined i would sugest taking it apart and doing it your self. me and my friend payed 190 bucks for all of his gaskets on his 350 chevy so yours couldnt be much more. but any rate good luck

Generally if an engine in one of these things is worn out (and yours is) the cheapest way out of it is to get another one put in it. If you go to a reputable shop that routinely works on japanese performance cars they will be able to get a low mileage, good condition import engine from Japan for you and this is cheaper than having an engine rebuilt. If you're feeling adventurous and have the money you could discuss a twin turbo conversion with them. If you sell the car as it is it is the easiest way out but you won't get much for it. Whether you go ahead with repairs or not will also depend on the condition of the car. If it's in good nick asides from the engine then go for it, because then you will have a good, reliable car after the work is done. When they remove the engine they replace all sorts of hoses and belts that are ready to fail on a car that age anyway so the result is that the car will be much better than it was. This would also be a good selling point if you get around to selling it later on provided you keep all of your receipts. Good luck mate!!

Collapsed oil seal ring is the high rpm smoke,smoke in start up is valve guides or seals. Overhaul time.

How full is your oil? Over fill will smoke to beat the band. If you are losing oil and not on ground inside of exhaust is oily the overhaul will be needed, the engine looks crammed in there once you take the plenum off its pretty open.
