Roof weight capacity 2020 Subaru Forester

Asked by UnchartedPNW Jul 30, 2020 at 02:34 AM about the 2020 Subaru Forester 2.5i Touring AWD with EyeSight Package

Question type: Car Customization

I am looking at getting a roof top tent and am
wonder the roof weight capacity for the 2020
Subaru Forester with the sunroof (dont know if that
matters). My cross bars are rated at 220lbs and
the tent I am looking at is 159lbs. Question is if
three people get into the tent 450lbs thats is
around 609lbs total, don't want to cause any
damage or worse get injuried for over loading.

Read your owners manual. I can guarantee it will not hold 600+ pounds.

F_O_R you guaranteed wrong. For anyone else interested 176lbs max drivable weight despite crossbars and 700lbs max stationary weight distributed evenly.
