Hello , what would cause the the car to start for awhile about 5 seconds then die every time when starting with thhingeft light flas

put key in ignition car turns over then starts .. Runs for 5 seconds .. then shuts
off killing engine , every time I try to start my vehicle.. my car is equipped with
the p.a t.s vehicle anti theft device , I know it is this device that is killing the
engine but what could cause this system to malfunction in this manner ?

because it's not working right , try using the remote to start it at all times , or see a technician and have them remove it ,
