1990 E250 van, 351ci. motor. Won't start without starting fluid. When it starts, it runs rough for awhile until warm, the all of a sudden it runs great!

It won't start without ether. It will then start , but run rough, stumble on acceleration, back fire . Then it reaches
operating temp. and like a switch was flipped, it runs fine!

Those have a cold air bypass solenoid on the throttle body and you need to remove it and clean the throttle body and buy a new cold air bypass solenoid valve and then you're good to go.
