I have a 2006 GV V6 and my car wont start and has a lock symbol on the dashboard. (never was there before).

mu 2006 G6 V6 wont start due to a lock symbol on dashboard. My bf can start
the car underneath it by tapping the solenoid but I cant do that everytime,lol. I
want my car to start with the KEY!!! any advice-suggestions i greatly
appreciate it! thx -chrissy

That's your security system. Your key has a security systems program to start your car. Somehow the programming on your fob key was erased and you need to reprogram it. Search in the internet how to reprogram your fob key on that specific car and model. Programming a fob key is not hard. I did it before when I lost my key on my Lexus. Good luck.
