Your AC fan is possibly out and it’s not cooling down the condenser when stopped.

I checked and it is working. The compressor also cycles properly. Someone mentioned the “orifice tube” may be clogged but I can’t locate it on this motor

If you had a clogged line, then it would be warm all the time. Does the engine temp start to climb when at a red light?

The next step would be to check your low side and high side AC line pressures. You would need an AC manifold gauge set.

The most likely culprit is Air Flow through the condenser. This could be due to debris clogging the condenser or too many bent fins and it’s just not getting enough air flow at idle even with fans on. Another possibility is that the fans aren’t spinning at max at idle, this could be due to weak alternator or the fan motor has too much resistance and doesn’t spin freely. If those possibilities are ruled out then the issue can be the expansion valve or the compressor. I believe the expansion valve is located on the evaporator inside the car behind the dash. Also, check with dealer to see if there is a BCM update for the AC for the torrent.
