why wont my brake lights work
1 Answer
use an ohm meter to test your fuses and bulbs, Then use a voltmeter to start tracing voltage. Check for voltage at the brake light switch, if none, jumper a 12 v hot wire to your brake light switch, see if you have brake lights. If you do, tells you everything from brake light switch to rear working OK. If that is the case, usually problem is in a fuse, or possibly in the steering column connections, as brake light circuits run through your turn signals in the column.
