So my mom's 2003 pontiac aztek  key is stuck in
the run spot car won't turn off key won't move aND
try ed the under the colum stuff didn't work we just
put new ignition  in like a year ago any ideas help
plezzz

Not sure if you were saying you already tried this but when my '03 had a similar problem my son removed a screw from the underside of the steering column. This allows you access to insert a thin pen (or other skinny but strong item), By pushing on something in there (you can feel it, although I can't exactly describe it) it toggles the release. I realize how technically uneducated that sounds. However, I successfully removed the key from my '03 for at least 3 years with no more knowledge than that. Just keep a think pen, letter opener, long screw, etc. in the cup holder. Hope I helped!
