2001 Sunfire with 2.2 engine and only 34,000 miles.  Most times won't start unless I floor the gas pedal (flood/clear mode)

when it occurs, it requires full throttle and t sputters and smokes until cleared out (maybe a couple seconds max). Once started it runs absolutely perfectly. Steady acceleration, idles smooth as silk, good gas mileage. Where is the fuel pressure test port? and how long should it hold pressure after off?
