How do you get rid of the check engine light for
good ?  Don't want it coming back on its on a

The best way to fix a check engine light is to repair the problem that is causing the light to illuminate. The second best way is to use a hammer.

I had it tested at oReallys he said it's the obd gone bad where you plug the tester in at

A piece of electrical tape over the light would do the trick if you don't want to actually fix the problem. Hopefully it's something minor if you went that route.
