ES300 Lexus oil sensor cracked 1997 oil light on

Asked by Magnetteach1 Aug 08, 2018 at 02:04 PM about the 1997 Lexus ES 300 FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The power steering and oil area had a leak and the gasket and power steering unit were replaced. The mechanic bumped the oil sensor and cracked it...nice of them to be honest. They claim they checked Ebay and several other normal places they go to look for the part but are having trouble finding a1997 one. Can a 1998 ...or so part work also? Where does one look for this part with a low price?

Standard Motor Products part number PS305 or PS305T are listed for your es300 1993 through 1999 and should be easy to get through most auto parts stores. I searched the long way and for this info for you within 5 mins, you may want to find a new mechanic....
