My mileage readout was at 224,000 and just noticed it now reads 9 thousand something? What could this possibly be?

If check engine light is on have the trouble codes read. If interior features are going haywire, including dash, you may have a problem with a bad computer module, namely the body control module, but do yourself a favor and look for any damaged or loose wiring or a bad ground, like this guy did: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jDKZdgkeKkU

This video also seems relevant, nearly identical problem to one you describe: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=US2Xyp8aK-s

Morning Bob, gonna be a good day for me, getting my 400 hp. 95 Chevy Silverado back on the road today.

400 HP? Chevys don't have that kind of power. LOL. Be safe.

You must have checked out my garage here, oh by the way, I need to put this on your dyno. When can I come over...

Morning gents, or late afternoon at least. BTW OP, if you wanted to sell your car for the high end of its Blue Book value, now's the time to do it. "This little creampuff's only got 9,000 miles on it..."
