JDM EJ253 Long Block (Emissions)
I have a 2005 Subaru Impreza with a blown
motor. When i drained the oil, metallic flakes
were visible inside of it. I am thinking of
buying a JDM long block with low mileage. I
plan on just swapping all the things over from
my old motor (Manifolds, Distributor, Hoses,
Cables). My question is that if I live in an
emissions required place (Nashville, TN),
would it pass the OBD-2 test without any
problems if i use everything off the USDM
motor other than the longblock itself?
