My Stepfather And I Worked On His 325i BMW 04'

We replaced the thermo, hoses, radiator. Now it didn't over heat but the next day it started to smoke. Why?

can open door but cannot start the vehicle. So I am not able to drive BMW. What can be the issue? If its the key how do I charge it? I have tried 5 second charge as well and nothing has worked.
