truck over heating it has a 4.0 ltr

hi

it just started today the truck starts to over heat and then stall it has a 4.0 ltr with about 140 km i was thinking that it's the thermastat but don't they stick open?

Most thermostats are designed as fail safe, sticking open in the case of failure. The next item to examine would be your water pump and coolant level.
