camshaft sensor

the light is for camshaft sensor because the cam shaft and crankshaft are out of sync, if you've changed the timing belt and cam sensor, make sure it's in time, did you change the tensioner or guides for the timing belt as well, check also that the connnector for the sensor is not damaged, sometimes the terminals will pull out of the connector a little bit causing intermittent problems. good luck.
check chassis ground first before replacing your sensor Chrysler grounds have been known problems use a slightly heavier ground cable when replacing (this will help prevent further problems)
Did this help you? Help! I am having the same problem with my 2004 Dodge Neon. The timing went in 2007-fixed. This year the heads needed replacing-fixed. Cam sensor code keeps appearing, replaced twice. Car runs smooth , sounds great, but twenty minutes down the road its starts hestitating -like its got a bad fuel problem. Any ideas as to what it is? A qualified mechanic has it and I also have had the timing looked at by 3 diffrent people and all is in sync.
Was the sensor replaced with an OE (Chrysler) sensor or an aftermarket one? My car ran for 2 years after installing an aftermarket sensor. The aftermarket sensors don't fall within the computer's parameters for proper operation, but will still allow the engine to run. It will set a code, though...
