Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have a Dodge Dakota 1993 2.5 engine.
When i turn the key it wil run for two seconds (during starting).and then it dies again.
We tried to flow in gas( patrol) with a small handpump and then it startet.
1 minute giving patrol by handpump
After a minute it could run bij itself and it was running good.
We did this 2 times with succes and let the motor run for 10 minutes.
Later that afternoon we tried again but then it was not working at all.
Please help. Where to look? or what s it?

you may have a sensor that oil pressure is not enough...that will trigger the fuel pump to shut down.. Sending unit could be bad..??
Fuel filter already changed. oil sensor dont't think so. Other?
oil pressure.. controls if the pump runs on some models.
is their more that shuts down the pump?. something else. I hear the pump when i make contact, but sometimes i dont hear the pump. Strange!!! pump pressure is 45 psi direct on the first tube. if we make a t- bone/joint ( to measure) the presure is 10 psi if we shut down te return tube it is 35 psi. the injector needs 14,5 psi It looks like that when you shut down a tube the pump can built up enough pressure. Just information , i don''t know what it means..
did not find oil pressure sensor that is connected to the fuel pump in the diagram.
