I have a mini cooper 6 yrs old and the radio works fine and all buttons except the number 2 and to knob to switch radio off, however it still works the volume.

I have exactly the same problem but have no solution yet. Any help out there.

After seeking professional assistance the headset main circuit board was burnt out and not replaceable as an individual item. Official BMW refurbed unit fitted as a replacement at a cost of about £450 inc labour.
