engine knock

i replaced the lower end bearings and the knock is still there i know one other guy who has a 96' and he said his has always done that but i dont think its normal i am wonder if i should rebuild the engine?

you could have a bent or warped connecting rod, or a low spot on the crankshaft or both.
Try putting a little transmission fluid in your oil. It may be a sticking lifter. Also. How long since a tune up? Plugs could be bad.
Use a stethescope like a doctor uses, use it on your jeep when it is running to determine where the sound is coming from,Rev it up so you can figure whether it's coming frm the top or lower area of the engine.
My friends jeep had the worst knock in it, but always ran fine. It ended up being that the flywheel was loose.
