Also your local Ford dealership parts department can get a locking cap for you.

Kelly, Thanks for the tip, unfortunately when I check compatible vehicles my vehicle wasn't listed. Thanks anyway :)

Tom, Leaking, I should hope not. Not only is that a major hazard, I've only had the vehicle 7 months. No leaking isn't the problem. The problem is someone is helping themselves to my gas at my expense.

Bob, I went to the dealership and unfortunately the gas caps they have are for 2012 or older models. The ebay link my vehicles isn't listed under compatible vehicles for that particular car part. :/

Tom, The gentleman at the Ford dealership said the same about it being impossible for someone to siphon my gas because of an internal mechanism. However I'm absolutely sure that it is most certainly happening. I had half a tank of gas on Saturday, the vehicle didn't move Sunday or Monday. Tuesday morning I pull out of my driveway and my gas light comes on. I only had enough gas to go 30 miles - far from the half of a tank I had on Saturday after running my errands. Additionally, This is the third time this has happened. Very frustrating. Your correct gas prices have come down but it's still over $3 a gallon.
4Rach_ekke3....Well, you are correct. The link I provided lists the wrong fuel plug. I am currently unable to find one, but if I do I will post a link. Sorry for the confusion.
I have a 4x4 2013 Ford Escape. And yes, it is truly a 4x4. It is front wheel drive until you press on the accelerator, then the back two wheels kick into a posi-traction mode. Truly 4 Wheel Drive. I don't have a locking gas cap either, and people look perplexed when I fill it. And it's not possible to siphon gas from it, or put injector cleaner in it! Great vehicle in my opinion. About 26 mpg has been my average.
I just found one for a FORD EDGE that says it will fit my 2016 Escape Titanium. My car only has 509 miles on it, and I filled it up the day before yesterday, drove 18 miles RT and this AM it said only 30 miles left... I believe it got stolen while I was playing trivia at a local restaurant. :-/ Lesson learned. That FORD Manufacturer Part Number: 8U5A9C268AC PART NUMBER: 8U5Z-9C268-B Will not fit a 2013 or newer Escape. Period.
It did not fit. And the FORD ESCAPE TITANIUM 2016 CAN AND DOES GET IT'S GASOLINE STOLEN. I have now tried two different models and they don't come close. The FORD Customer Svc. person was condescending and kept saying "it cannot be siphoned you must be wrong... So I guess I got 5 mpg on my second tank of gas... now have put 750 miles on the car, and it has consumed 4 tanks of gas?
For what it is worth at the gas station I was able to push the little cap open with my fingertip- so it is vulnerable. Anyone could put the skinny funnel into the tank and then run a hose through the funnel... slow but steady siphon path. I am seeing a lot of posts from late model ESCAPES and FUSIONS re; the gas theft the FORD marketing material says is impossible. I am very discouraged- mostly by how unresponsive Ford Corporate has been in (not) fielding my questions and refusing to escalate the issue. The chap on chat told me "he will not discuss it any further with me." and refused to provide a path for escalation. He told me "if you have fuel problems take it to the dealer." I tried to help him understand the issue- this is my 4th Ford, but he was not at all interested. I guess it will be my last.
One last lament. I ordered one of the FORD parts from an autoparts company through AMAZON... Their literature said it would fit which is why I ordered it. They told me I can return it- paying the postage myself. So off to the post office I will go since both Fed Ex and UPS quoted $12 shipping. ;-(

I phoned Ford parts and service and there is no gas plug lock made by Ford for a 2015 Ford Escspe Titanium. However, in parts they sell a special siphon to pour gas into the car and one can use this siphon to remove gasoline too! I recently had my gas stolen and then someone put water or something else in my gas tank and Iam only getting 13.5 mpg on average . I put STP treatment to clean and remove water and it went in the gas tank perfectly. Iam upset that I am stuck with a gas tank that is open for theft of expensive gasoline and deliberate tampering of my gas in my vehicle. And I don't know what was put in my gasoline tank unless I pay Ford service to analyze my gasoline to determine what is in it. By the way STP did not help and I only have 6,500 miles on my car . Ford needs to design a locking gas plug for the opening in these very poor designed gas openings, that do not provide any safety or security of gas in our cars, nor does it provide protection from tampering with the gasoline as in vandalism or theft of gas. Where is the release button to open up the gas cover in the first place? Did it save 5 cents on the car to remove it?

If the description is wrong on Amazon then they will provide you a pre paid label at their expense because it's incorrect information So out it does not do what it says as advertised
For all concerned: I own a 2015 Ford ESCAPE and your best bet to secure your gas tank if your vehicle is FORD ESCAPE of any year with a capless fuel filler system, you have to purchase a lock designed for cabinet and drawer. See photo. This lock will definitely work, just be sure you know what you're doing as you need to drill a hole, also be sure that the lock bar will lock and unlock, the length or kind of lock bar that works and the thickness of door. You may also need to modify the lock bar so it will be tight fit to lock it. I am ordering one but confident that it would work.
Every one says you can't steal gas for the FORD capless system. All you have to do is buy a Capless Gas Tank Funnel (or use the one you own if you have a FORD). Once the funnel is in the hole any one can put a hose in and steal the gas..... #HelloFORDAreYouListening
My problem is they drill holes in the tank underneath which costs $2000 to replace. How do I protect that?
Easy-Fill capless gas filler is more complicated than it looks at first glance. It locks the filler door in place unless the power door locks are released. It also won’t release unless a fuel nozzle of the appropriate size is inserted
I'm sorry that this happened to you. I was able to find a capless gas cap to fit my 2012 Ford Escape. I guess this was the last year made to fit. I wasn't afraid of my gas being stolen but more afraid of gasoline sabotage. Some ppl are evil & just want to watch you struggle while they laugh about it.

When I ran out of gas and recently lost my funnel, I took a reeeally long screwdriver, and I pushed it down through the flap/ flaps? Held the flaps open by simply holding my screw driver in place... And there you have it. Just insert the gas can spout right along side it, and pour the gas in your tank. I figured I would share this, because after doing this a time or two... There is zero doubt in my mind that people have managed a way to siphon gas out of these Ford's. Without much effort I might add. (Sorry guys.) I drive a 2016 Ford Escape Titanium
