Engine oil type

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Bought used 2017 elantra with 45,000 miles. Oil changes were always
synthetic oil. Manual says to use regular oil and recommends Quaker State.
What should I use?

I would stay with synthetic. Oil changes will be less frequent and synthetic oil helps extend engine life.

Synthetic or synthetic blend oil will work.
