I have a 2000 Lincoln Navigator and the garage told me my computer was bad and was going to charge me a unreasonable amount to fix it so I bought a flashed computer and installed it myself and the vehicle wouldn't even start. I installed the old one back in and it immediately started but still wasn't running properly. The vehicle doesn't seem to get enough gas at times, idling is off, it gives off extremely hot heat from under the vehicle but doesn't overheat. I don't know what else it could be any suggestions?

By the time you spend more money guessing at the problem, you could have payed the "unreasonable amount" and be driving your Luxury SUV. Short cuts don't save money, they cause headaches.

The amount they want to fix it with I could buy a different SUV. Problem is I'm a single mother with kids and can't afford it. I had a fuel pump replaced and after that he hasn't ran the same. 2 months later it's parked and I'm told the computer is bad.
