Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Had problems getting the key out
sotiton had to unhook battery to
keep from running dead. It would
stick in acc mode. was able to get the
key out this morning. Got in this
afternoon and the key goes in but it
wont turn at all. Is my ignitition
switch going out or could it be the
key? The key looked the same.

if your key doesnt seem to be bent or chipped you are probably going to have to get a new ignition...i would check the junk yard or if you have a u-pull-it in your city . or you can try and find your same vehicle thats someone crashed and is parting out...

I've had an on going problem starting the car. I turn the key and sometimes it starts right away but sometimes it takes twenty tries before it starts. Any suggestions?

like i was telling someone earlier on here, you might need a new fuel pump because if it doesnt have anough pressure the truck wont start up, after it cranks for a 5-10 seconds it would build up enough pressure for it to start. it could also be your fuel injectors...hope this is helpful

The same thing that happened to Jaime is happening to me right now. Only difference is an alarm bell keeps ringing when i turn the car off and it sounds different than an open door or key in ignition alarm. There is a recall for something pertaining to the ignition switch or the key. Trying to see if i can get free towing to the dealership to have it repaired.
