Key Fob

Asked by Guru89W2H Dec 22, 2019 at 11:07 PM about the 2005 Toyota Prius

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I had a new non OEM key fob programmed by a locksmith.  The door locks
would not work with the new fob.  My original key fob does not work anymore
since the locksmith did his work.   The new replacement has  now died.  Can I
recover the original fob by myself without going to a dealership?

Check your owner's manual. It may tell you how to program the fob again. Hope that helps! Jim
