Question type: Maintenance & Repair

04 Rav with 200k , well maintained/serviced. Lights all came On, drives fine. Stopped at Advanced auto, computer read code , attendant said 9/10 it is tied to evaporation, said probably need a new Gas cap.  Any other suggestion?  thank you!

put a new gas cap, or tighten the old one correctly, have the codes erased and see what happens

Has anyone had the sensor for the VSC replaced, as my mechanic changed the gas cap and apparently did something to the piece that reaches up to the gas cap, but the light went back on when a made a quick turn, as it had initially.

What I noticed with mine is that when I’m on the highway the lights don’t come up, but when I’m around town driving under 50mph is when it seem to always happen.

2007 lights were on due to vacuum tube disconnect. Dealer service put the tube on as intended and all is OK.
