The button on my gear shift handle fell out and is now stuck inside the handle. I cannot get the car all the way into park, and I cannot remove the keys. What are the steps to fix this?

Think the handle was pushed into park too hard. The button broke out. It was pushed back inside, Now it is stuck
inside and slides in and out without any engagement. The car looks to be in park, but the keys will not come out of
the ignition. How do I get in into the handle and how to I re-affix the button.

I fixed a lot of sh--t with j b cuz thats what i do, but in this case didnt last! so look for a allen screw holding the top t handle on the stem shifter shaft, to remove the top end,and go from their
