what's a fair price to change the rear motor mount on my american made 98 Camry 4cly, automatic

According to the industry standard, Both motor mounts can be changed in about an hour. Some shops charge a 1 hour minimum and I would think that is fair. Personally I would pay up to $100 to have it done by a good Mechanic if necessary. Fortunately I have a good mechanic who will do it for me at half of that price. But to be fair, shop rates in my area range between 80 and 120 per hour labor rate, and I like to take my car to a real shop and not a shade tree mechanic. A bad mechanic can cause more damage than good and really does not save any money. I would buy both motor mounts and have them both replaced if it were me. Because 2 of them should cost 1 hour labor and then there is no need to go back for a while, But I woul say $50 to 100 labor plus the part is within the range of what you should pay for install of 1 motor mount on that car. It is a simple job providing there are no other issues

The rear mount is by far the most difficult on that car. The front is easy but you will probably break many of the little splash pan bolts that hold the pan, to the sub frame, so now some drilling and tapping..unless they have been out recently and have anti-seize on them.Dog bone (top left) is cake but if that's bad the others are too or not far behind.. The trans mount can be problematic if you don't loosen all the other mounts 1st. Dog bone always comes off to change any other mount. Best to change all at one time, as it is best to loosen all the mounts to change any one of them.

Also there are obviously 4 motor mounts and not 2 and I call BS on anyone who says they can do any 2 in an hour. With a lift and the right tools, right next to you and someone having done it before on the same car and a new rust free car.at that... maybe but doubtful even then.
