My 2006 ram 1500 engine has shut off while I was driving

Transmission or main computer!! I had this happen driving a 2011 dodge ram discovered it is a common problem with them since 2006! should be covered under warrenty! if you get any grief from local shops, try calling the dodge manufacturer! If it is the same problem, I wish you all the luck, It was a huge fight and 3 dealers to get that truck fixed and it only had 71km on the engine brand new off the lot!!!!!

CHECK THIS CHECK THIS.....I had same issue for over a year. The ignition switch becomes worn and the smallest pull or jarr on you key chain turns off the ignition. At start up it would start and die, driving it would die unexpectedly...took it to the shop, the MX couldnt find it! They were given only the key, not my weighted key chain. Try driving with only the key like i did. Thank you for yr answeres everyone.. so i started looking else where..Good job.

Same problem I replaced crank sensor & knock sensor done the trick
