I have been trying to get my trailer lights to work and have been trying to get a good ground but now its draining my battery when not in use. I have a new battery. What's going on?
Recently replaced my battery, due to loose terminal post, also connected a cut
hot wire going to ac plug that apparently powers the ac sensor. Ac is working
better than ever. Also connected a cut ground wire to battery negative terminal,
it is hard to tell where it goes other than the power port by the fuse box. There
was a bad connection on the hot side coming from the battery towards the
fuse box it was a small blueish wire and I connected it better and it seems OK.
I am also trying to get power to my boat trailer and am having some difficulty
trying to get it working. Before I did anything everything worked OK but the ac it
seemed very weak. But now my battery is drawing down and I gotta jump start
the truck. Dealer says sounds like alternator . I am worried that I have
accidentally screwed up my trucks electrical system somehow. Any ideas why
its happening all of a sudden?
