1998 Dodge Ram 1500 won't shift higher than 2nd gear.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was driving, and my truck bucked hard once. After this, it didn't want to shift
out of first gear. I got it to shift to second by feathering the gas, but then it
would definitely not shift into third. After researching possible issues, I
replaced the governor pressure sensor and solenoid. When I test drove it after
that, it seemed to shift fine, but it would randomly lose power and slow down
as if I were stepping on the brakes. Then, when I got it back home and parked
it, it wouldn't shift into any gear at all. I am at a loss for ideas on what is
wrong with it. Does anybody know what is wrong?
