96 f350 7.3 starts fine then every now and then hear static on radio like electrical noise then truck dies ,starts right back up

I'm not sure where it would be located on your truck as it's a diesel but somewhere (probably under the hood) you'll find a ignition condenser. It looks identical to what a condenser from a points ignition system does but instead of a terminal it will have a longer wire and a plug in connector. It suppresses radio noise interference same as a points system, id locate it as its the main suspect in my books

The static is not constant only last a few seconds then the engine dies ,restart and may be a day before it happens again, it did it twice yesterday and not today .thanks
