Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My friend was asking me to post a question on here. He states: His 2001 VW Passat 4 Motion won't start. He believes it is the fuel pump that's causing the issue, as it has power, and will turn over. He can't find the fuel pump, and wants to know where it is located, and how hard/easy it is to fix/swap out. Any help?
