I have a 2001 VW Passat and recently experienced a problem with "check coolant" and my car would indicate me to stop. After my car overheating and needing to replace a hose I thought the problem was resolved. Now my engine has been running rough and started to flash the "stop, check coolant" again. I have a 2006 VW Passat. During the summer my car will start up and drive fine like nothing is wrong with it. Then maybe an hr or two later it will just stall on me. I sit for about 30 to 45 minutes and it starts back up no problem.
