Question type: Maintenance & Repair

the engine starts to shudder extremely hard almost like its jumping inside the engine compartment. the motor mounts seem sound. i have checked the oil and filters on it and the have checked out fine. Is it the timing maybe. Also when it warms up now it takes alot of throttle and a good 100 feet or so to get up to 30mph. Yes it does have the turbo as well and i believe it is the 2.1? would you also happen to know the make and psi of the stock turbo?

Sounds like the torque convertor or similar transmission issue. The Caravans are known for this. The fact that it takes a lot of throttle and distance to get up to speed is a dead giveaway that the trans. is going up.

i had one when i was a teenager had similar symptoms come to find out the cam shaft was broken
