If the hybrid battery fails, can the car operate just on the gas engine?

Since there is no Camry Hybrid section to this forum, I'm asking here.  Will my
car operate as a non hybrid if the hybrid battery fails?

I think you need the battery. I would post this question on a hybrid forum.
