When I go to start my Chevy Malibu I lose all power to it

check all battery connections and make sure they are clean, check connections at the starter and block ground if you are positive it's not the battery itself.

Clean and tighten all battery connections. Also clean and tighten the negative connections on the frame and motor. Hope this helps
